Beans didn't fit in the burbs...
We heard about a tiny donkey in need of some help, so we drove nearly to a quaint Boston suburb. This little guy was adopted as a pet by a family who moved him to a neighborhood where he was "singing with the church bells" every hour. While we find that adorable, the neighbors didn’t, so he needed a rescue before he became too familiar with the legal system.
We navigated the hot Friday Cape and Islands traffic to bring this little choir singing donkey to a place where his talents would be appreciated—Bethlehem.
His new name, a nod to his time in Boston, is "Beans." Beans still has a long way to go to feel comfortable with humans, but he is enjoying life as a donkey. He needs to gain some weight and have his feet reconditioned as part of his journey to recovery.
